Welcome to Care System 101!
This course tells us about 'CARE', an open-source tool used for pandemic management. There is a task on the last level of the course which will be used to assess your performance.
Try Care
The staging site
(dummy site) for CARE is hosted at https://gdc.coronasafe.network
Credentials to
login to CARE Platform can be accessed from application dashboard
(https://application.gdc.network/) once you complete your application process
and gets onboarded.

Care is
open-source software with an MIT license.
This means that it
is absolutely free for anyone to utilize the software. Since the software is
built through contributions from volunteers it is and shall always remain free
for use. It is truly a piece of technology that is built BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE
PEOPLE!!!

How to Register a
facility
STEPS TO LOG-IN
1. Go to https://gdc.coronasafe.network on
your browser. (The preferred browser is Google Chrome)
2. Type in the username and password generated
and given to you by the administrator.
3. Click on Log-in
STEPS TO CREATE A
NEW FACILITY

1. User Type- Choose from the option given in the drop-down menu
2. Phone Number-
3. Facility Name- If your facility is already registered under Care,
type in and choose your facility from the drop-down menu. If it is a new
facility then space can be left blank.
4. Username- Create a unique username
5. Date of Birth- Enter users date of birth
6. Password- Set a password
7. Confirm password
8. First Name

How to add Rooms/ Bed Types

Steps to enter Bed Types/Rooms:
1. Login with username and password.
2. Click on “Add more bed types”.
3. Redirected to form, same as when as after
creating facility.
4. “Bed types” options with more options are
displayed.
5. Enter “total capacity” and “current
occupied” numbers.
6. After selecting each bed type, enter values
and click “save and next”.
7. Click on cancel to go back to facility
Dashboard.
8. You may edit the same way by clicking on
Facility anytime.

1. Log in with username and password.
2. Click on “view facility” on Facility card
already created.
3. “Total capacity” appears on dashboard.
4. Click on “Edit” on respective card of bed
type.
5. Directed to “Total capacity” page.
6. Click on “Update bed capacity” to save
changes.

1. Log in with username and password.
2. Click on “View facility” on Facility
Dashboard.
3. Click on “Add Triage”.
4. In the form, add date, and fill the asked
fields.
5. Click on “Save”.
6. Will be directed to Facility Dashboard,
scroll to bottom to see table for “Corona Triage”.
7. Can edit number of times by clicking on “Edit”.

STEPS TO CREATE A SHIFTING APPROVAL FACILITY
Fill out the form.
You will see the following fields
1. User Type- Choose the type of User as STAFF.
2. Phone Number- Input contact number of the user
3. Username- Input a unique user name.
4. Date of Birth- Input date of Birth of User
5. Password- Input password for the new user
6. Confirm Password- Reenter the Inputted password
7. First Name- First
8. Last Name- Last name of User
9. Gender- Choose the Gender of the user from the Droplist menu

1. Facility Type- Select the "SHIFTING CENTER" from the
drop-list menu.
2. Facility Name- Input name of the facility as "XYZ Shifting
Center"
3. Address
4. Pincode
5. Emergency Phone number
Fill out the form.
You will see the following fields
§ User Type - Choose the type of User as STAFF.
§ Phone Number- Input contact number of the user
§ Facility- Here select the shifting center that you have set up
§ Username - Input a unique user name.

§ Password - Input password for the new user

STEPS TO UPLOAD
AUDIO FILE TO PATIENT CARD

A volunteer could
be any person, may not necessarily ne a qualified caregiver like a doctor or a
nurse, but an active member of the community, or even a friend or relative who
wants to support the patient by monitoring his data, giving counselling or
simply monitoring the health condition.

1. Log in with username and password.
2. Click on “Patient” tab.
3. Click on patient name.
4. Scroll down, click on “Assign a volunteer”.
5. A pop-up screen will appear, click on
“assign a volunteer”.
6. Type the name of volunteer, click on
“submit”.
7. Notification will be designed on top of patient card, volunteer assigned.

How to shift out a patient?
Fill out the form
with the following details:
§ Contact Person at facility- Enter your
name.
§ Contact Person phone- phone number of the

§ Name of shifting approving facility- Type
the name and select from the droplist.

patient to- if you are particular about sending the patient into a specific
facility mention it otherwise keep it blank.

1. Log in with username and password.
2. Click on “Patient” Tab.
3. Click on name of the patient.
4. Scroll down and click on “Consultation
Update”.
5. Add all consultation details, checkmark
“Recommend Discharge”.
6. Click on “Save Consultation”.
7. Scroll down the page, click on “Discharge from
Care”.
8. Click on “Proceed to discharge”.
9. Patient successfully discharged.
How to access the death report of a patient?
Log
into https://gdc.coronasafe.network
§ Log-in using your username and password.
§ Click on "Patient" tab.
§ Go the patient card.
§ On the top right corner, click on
"Death Report" - Fill in the required details including cause of
death. Please refer to the image below for further details.
§ Click on "Preview" to view and
verify the details that you have entered.
§ Click on "Print Death Report" to
save the document.

HOW TO COMMENT ON A RESOURCE REQUEST
Capacity Dashboard
This dashboard
allows the district administrators or the decision-makers with the following:
make informed decisions with real-time and accurate data. Backing or supporting
their decision at any point by concrete evidence of real scenario of the field.
Predicting and preparing for contingencies based on the trend of demand or load
on the healthcare system. This helps with preparedness.
